You can help women who are not able to afford mammograms by going to the web site below and choosing the 'Free' button. A woman will get a free mammogram at no cost to you. Corporate sponsors pay for the mammograms. This is a simple way to make a difference.

6) A Note from Rayona

Happy New Year Friends,
I trust that your holidays were relaxing and rejuvenating with family, friends and lots of gratitude! We are all so fortunate to enjoy such a high standard of living and the opportunity to have our lives make a difference.

This year the Institute for Women's Leadership is launching a new look and feel as well as expanding our geographic reach and product offerings. We will be rolling out our new logo, materials, etc. at the annual Linkage Women in Leadership Summit on Feb. 12-14. As a result of the Fast Company magazine article I have also been asked to write a book and prepare audiotapes for distribution in late 2001. There is quite a bit of new opportunity to expand our global network into Europe and Africa (more about that in future newsletters).

We are also expanding our teaching and coaching faculty to make our work and support services more available to you and future clients. IWL has a deep commitment to partnering with you to fulfill on your breakthrough projects and your on-going leadership development. Please let me know if there are things that we can provide to enhance your ability to advance your career. We hope to co-sponsor a few large events in 2001 so as to make more connections and strategic alliances that will benefit you.

We have also been blessed with an opportunity to participate in team building using the Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ) approach. Our recent alum, Julia Shumelda (drjulia99@hotmail.com), is a master of this approach and EQ is proving to be extremely useful as IWL grows and requires a greater level of coordinated action among the staff. I highly recommend using Julia in your organizations for any number of solutions in the personal and team empowerment areas.

I invite you to have a breakthrough in your leadership competence in 2001. Whether you attended our program five years ago or just last month, there is always room for growth. All of us at IWL are enrolled in development programs so that we can be continuously learning and finding ways to add value to your success. Feel free to call anytime for recommendations or requests related to your on-going leadership development (remember our 50-year 'renewable lease'). Please do stay in touch.

Love,
Rayona
